New Colorway

Persimmon. I love it! The yarn is our millspun 3 ply sock yarn that is 50% German angora, 30% nylon and 20% superwash Merino wool. This yarn knits beautifully, wears like iron, and is machine washable. I have a friend who throws her socks knit with this yarn in the dryer. Amazing stuff.

Check back to see it knit up.

A Tribute to Otto

Samson's Otto Pilot was my most favorite herd buck. Leslie Samson delivered him to me in the winter of 2004. He was magnificent even as a young buck. Although his wool production was quite good (over 16 oz. per 90 day shearing), I never was able to register him due to his large size. He was well over 13 lbs. as an adult! He produced lots of babies, many of whom were registered and some have become rightful heirs of his place in the barn. I lost Otto in June. He would have been five years old in August. He is sorely missed.

Bungalow Farm's Furrari Hits 2000!

2ooo grams annually that is. Furrari was tested and registered at an IAGARB Registration event held in March in Sacramento. Her total wool amount was 513 grams or roughly 18 oz. of wool. She was the first German Angora registered to test over 2000 grams (annual) in North America. Way to go Furrari! Naturally, I forgot to take a picture of the spectacular event, so the one here was taken afterwards (many weeks later).
